FRIDAY IS ALLERGIES DAY ON INVITE HEALTH RADIO
I have been very busy researching things for my health lately, but did want to go ahead and post this great news. Friday, InVite Health Radio will be discussing Allergies. As a person with severe allergies; including food allergies, I am anxious to listen to this program. I have so many allergies that it is ridiculous. The following things are the minimum I am allergic to and/or give me asthma.
- Aleve
- Anything that is not cotton in clothing and/or rinsed well.
- Aspirin (Gives me asthma. I have taken it though when I feel my heart scares me.)
- Cardboard (Gives me asthma.)
- Carpet
- Cats (Severely allergic to.)
- Cleaning Chemicals
- Cold Air
- Dogs (Various breeds.)
- Dust Mites (I use dust mite covers on my bed & pillow cases).
- Eggs
- Flounder (Possibly all fish as well. I am severely allergic to flounder.)
- Hair Spray (This almost takes my breath away.)
- Ibuprofen (Causes asthma.)
- Jalopenos (Make my throat close.)
- Lactose (I am not sure on this one. I might have a problem with dairy.)
- Lotions (Including 99% of body lotions.)
- Molds (I am living in an older house now.)
- Nuts (Not sure about.)
- Pickles (I love pickles so this is a hard one to be allergic to.)
- Pollen (Sneezeola here.)
- Popcorn (My throat closes with this one.)
- Ragweed
- Roach something. (Gross, but listed as an allergy.)
- Running (No brainer there. lol)
- Shrimp
- Smoke
- Soaps (Most soaps eat my skin right up.)
- Strong Smells (Strong smells are very hard on me.)
- Tree (My allergy testing lab results are in a box but there is a tree I am sensitive to.)
- Wine (Sulfites in wine. I very rarely drink but do like red wine.)
TALKING ABOUT MY HEALTH
ENDOCRINE CHALLENGES
I cannot take most NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-flammatory drugs) because of my asthma. I am thinking that I have Rheumatoid Arthritis but have to dive into my blood work again. I don't have Lupus but from the things I read (trying to heal myself here), I might have Rheumatoid Arthritis like my cousin. My toes look like they are changing, my right knee is a challenge, my joints sort of look like it on my hands. My father has arthritis in his spine, and my mother has Osteoporosis, so I worry about me taking care of myself. There is also a family history of heart problems and cancer. Needless to say, I am really trying to make up for lost time in trying to help my body before anything else goes wrong. I think I also have low blood sugar like my mother. Not sure on that one at all though. My father and brother have Diabetes, and my other brother has Lupus. Endocrine problems in our family seems to be the theme. My Hypothryoidism is an an endocrine body system as well.
GLOVE’N CARE LOTION & CLEOPATRA’S CHOICE LOTION
My hands used to stay in hives but now I have somehow not had allergic reactions, on my hands, by avoiding the triggers and keeping them moisturized. I can only use two lotions on my hands. Glove’n Care lotion works on my hands and the Cleopatra's Choice Mineral Hand Cream. Hydrocortisone thinned my skin from years of use. I wear gloves when I clean, dust, or apply lotions to my legs.
MORE TO COME
I will be talking about my recent health overhaul project of how to orchestrate and organize healthy meals. Lots of fun ideas to come.
