CBS NEWS UPDATE!
USDA FOOD PYRAMID'S NEW DIMENSIONS!
The article from CBS News mentions a Vitamin E caution. There is also a new USDA Food Pyramid as well. Boy, health care is a real headache.

Here is where you can customize your plan too. Love it.

PROCESS OF ADDITION FOR MY BODY CHEMISTRY
As you know, I just recently started taking Theragran-M Advanced daily vitamins which are wonderful, and easy to swallow for me.
I do know that I need a higher ratio of some supplements so I have decided to get each supplement, I need more of, by itself. By doing this "process by addition", I can test brands, test improvements in the way I feel, and have the option of increasing or lowering the ratios intakes as needed. It’s all about body chemistry and no two of us are alike.
Just as an example, our daily vitamins might give us enough of one vitamin, and/or too much of another vitamin. I take Magnesium and Calcium outside of my daily vitamin, and will be adding Vitamin E to that list as well. For me, Vitamin E might help with my asthma. By taking it separately, I can take more as needed. My daily vitamin only has 60IU (international units) when I have read that I could even do with 400IU. By me taking a vegan Vitamin E supplement, I can improve the way I feel and even make breathing easier. That means there is a difference of 340IU I could be getting. I guess my point is that we could be taking more Vitamin E for our health.
**CBS NEWS UPDATE**
**It has been cautioned for intake only up to 400IU. **
This is the link again to customize your Food Pyramid. The interactive tool should come in very handy and leave out some of the guess work.

MEDICATIONS REDUCE VITAMINS & MINERALS IN OUR BODIES
My asthma spray reduces the Magnesium in my body.
CALCIUM & THE HEART
Here is another tidbit of information. Did you know that when your body does not have enough of a certain vitamin, like Calcium, it will take it from organs like your heart? Scary huh.
MAGNESIUM UPDATE
GETTING VEGAN SUPPLEMENTS
Today I got Magnesium Citrate, made by NutriCology, that is Hypoallergenic and vegan. Believe you me, you want to take vegan from what I have seen. For somebody like me with various severe food allergies, I really have to watch what I consume in food or supplementation.
For example, there are vitamins from nuts or shellfish. I cannot consume these types of supplements.
VITAMIN E
Tomorrow I will be getting Vitamin E supplements because I have read, from alternative viewpoints, that we need like 400 IU of this supplement. It is also suggested from this reading to get the natural form and not the synthetic form. The one that I am going to get tomorrow is Carlson’s E-Gems Elite which costs $13.99 @ Vitamin Shoppe. You can get these vitamins online as well. This supplement comes in 60 soft gels. That is important to somebody like me that needs to take something that is easy to swallow. Update: Please note that this is not considered medical advice but just from somebody that is trying to help herself naturally where possible. There are always mixed viewpoints on something as intricate as health care. The study mentioned on CBS News was on unhealthy patients and not on healthy patients as a baseline. The decline "started" at 400 IU in his study. A doctor that did not agree with his views was also quoted in today's CBS News' article.
STRESS MANAGEMENT ON A BUDGET
Because I cannot afford massage therapy or reflexology at the present time, I am looking for alternative ways to distress and heal.
Being unemployed, no health insurance, and in a new area I don’t like, has really taken a toil on my health. Just little things like not being near the stores and food places I am used to, has really depleted my energy level. I am further away from my family, and in a cold climate area, which does not keep my spirits high. The good news is that summer is just around the corner even here.
So much to tell you blog readers like how supplements can help your body defend itself against the damaging effects of stress.
COMING UP
Getting Vitamin E, my Mercury fillings worry, and more of me being my own health advocate. I should be a doctor blog readers. What do you think? lol
